April 5- WV to Dulles, Dulles to Fort Lauderdale
Snowy day in the West Virginia mountains but nice after we got to Virginia. Stephen gave us a ride to the airport and we went right through security as I did check in online. Got to our gate plenty early which was good as seats were limited. Restaurants near the gate were busy so I just got juice and a snack. They did serve a snack and drinks on the plane as well. Our plane was full and we were near the very back so it was slow disembarking, but overall good flight...just 2 1/2 hours and not much turbulence. After making our way to the luggage area Kerry called for the hotel shuttle bus and we walked a good way outside to the area where the shuttles meet. 40 minutes later no shuttle so we called the hotel again and this time one came in about 10 minutes. Hotel check in (Comfort Inn Airport South) was easy and room fine. Lessons learned- eat a good meal before we get to the airport...my stomach doesn't do well with junk food!
